DESIGNING

 

It's easy to guess what my main interest is; I design buildings. In this, I strive to create a strong idea, which shapes the form of the building. The most important thing for me, is not whether the building is "beautiful" but the comfort the users feel when using it. A building is as good as useless, if it's only attribute is it's looks.

 

I love designing and have a head full of ideas. If you give me a chance to prove it, you won't be sorry.

 

 

CREATING VISUALIZATIONS

 

A big part of architecture is it's presentation. Whether one likes it or not; it is inseparable. Creating a picture of our project is important when we want to convince an investor. It is also important in contests, because 2D drawings can only say so much.

 

When I say "visualization" I don't necessarly meen fotorealistic pictures. It is important to "sell" the project". If a comic can do this, or if the client preffers something a little different, then I try to reach his expectations.

 

I work well in Adobe Photoshop, 3dsmax, Revit, AutoCad and love pushing my boundaries in what I can do.

 

 

GATHERING DOCUMENTATION

 

Although many architect's would love to skip this, it is a necessary part of our job. Working at the architectural bureau I have learned how to gather documentation and how to properly prepare it for the office. I can't say that it is my favourite pass-time, but I still try to do my best.

 

Who knows? Maybe in 10years I will have someone who will do it for me?

 

 

DRAWING, SKETCHING

 

This is what started it all. As a child (age 3) my mother sat me down infront of a piece of paper. We drew for a little while, me and my siblings. After an hour or so, they got bored. I sat there for another 8hours. Since then I have been hooked. I never had classes, other then highschool art class, and I think I can say I did well on my own. I would like to think that this shows my need for self improvement and my capabilities of learning no matter what. I do not need a whip over me, to make me work. My love for architecture and self-progress push me to new levels. 

 

I hope to one day open my own bureau, where I can create architecture FOR the people. Because it is not art. It is not for architects. It is not to boost our self-esteem. It is for the people. I find that some architects tend to forget this...

PROJEKTOWANIE

 

Jako że jestem studentem architektury, łatwo zgadnąć jaki jest mój główny cel; projektuję budynki. Gdy to robię, staram się o mocną ideę, która nadaje kształt budynku. Najważniejsze jest bowiem dla mnie nie to czy budynek jest "piękny" lecz czy będzie wygodny w obsłudze. Budynek pozbawiony funkcjonalności, niosący ze sobą jedynie względne pojęcie piękna jest moim zdaniem zbędny. 

 

Uwielbiam projektować. Mam głowę pełną pomysłów. Pozwólcie mi to udowodnić, a nie pożałujecie

 

 

TWORZENIE WIZUALIZACJI

 

Sporą częścią architektury jest sposób prezentacji. Czy to lubisz czy nie, są one nierozłączne. Jest to ważne między innymi wtedy, gdy chcemy przekonać inwestora, lub w konkursach, gdyż rysunki 2D nie wszystko są w stanie przekazać.

 

Gdy mówię "wizualizacja" nie koniecznie mam na myśli fotorealizm. Ważne jest by "sprzedać" projekt. Jeżeli komiks jest w stanie to zrobić, lub jeżeli klient woli coś troszkę innego, to robię co mogę by go zadowolić.

ZBIERANIE DOKUMENTACJI

 

Choć wielu wolałoby ominąć ten etap, jest on nieodłączną częścią naszej pracy. Praktyki w biurze architektonicznym nauczyły mnie jak poprawnie zbierać dokumentację projektową. Nie powiem, że jest to mój ulubiony sposób na spędzanie czasu, ale mimo to staram się zawsze jak moge.

 

Kto wie? Może za 10lat będę miał kogoś kto będzie za mnie to robić?

 

 

RYSOWANIE, SZKICOWANIE

 

To właśnie rysunek wszystko zapoczątkował. Będąc jeszcze dzieckiem (w wieku 3lat) moja mama posadziła mnie i moje rodzeństwo przed stołem z kawałkiem papieru. Rysowalismy przez chwilę, ale po godzinie, każdemu się znudziło. Oprócz mnie. Siedziałem tam jeszcze 8godzin. Od tamtej pory, jestem uzależniony. Nigdy nie chodziłem na lekcje rysunku, oprócz liceum o profilu architektonicznym. Muszę przyznać (choć nie lubie tego robić), że poszło mi całkiem nieźle. Myślę, że dość dobrze to obrazuje moją chęć do rozwijania się oraz moje umiejętności w samodoskonaleniu się. Nie potrzeba trzymać nade mną bata. Moja miłość do architektury i rozwoju pchają mnie do działania.

 

Mam nadzieję kiedyś założyć własne biuro, gdzie będę mógł tworzyć architekturę DLA ludzi. Nie jest ona bowiem sztuką. Nie jest ona dla architektów. Nie jest ona po to by podbijać własne ego. Jest dla ludzi. Zdaje się, że niektórzy czasem o tym zapominają...
